Guided by a mission to further strengthen our products’ relevance in the market, we are looking for a strong, commercial minded Product Manager to join our team. In close collaboration with your colleagues from Sales, Marketing; Business Intelligence and Development, you will acquire a central role in conceptualizing the future concepts and products, which will set the stage for our strategic direction.

About the position

You will get plenty of opportunity to help shape your own position and bring your experiences and competencies into play. However, central tasks and areas of responsibilities are:

  • Analysing and identifying market needs, and utilise this knowledge to develop and conceptualise strong product launches
  • Taking responsibility of our innovation model – Stage-Gate – which we use to validate the development of future products and features
  • Continuously monitoring market developments and competitors
  • Participating in customer meetings, webinars, workshops, and events to enhance valuable dialogues with our customers, which can help identify product needs and challenges
  • Planning of practical product launches in close collaboration with your colleagues in Marketing
  • Securing a smooth collaboration with our technical Product Owner, to ensure the commercial value of the product is not lost during the development process
  • Reporting on product related KPIs

About you

Your personality and motivation are key to succeed in the role as Product Manager. Therefore, it is important that you can recognize yourself in the following:

  • You have a commercial mindset and can identify a potential product’s ability to generate value for end-users, customers, and for Visiolink as the supplier
  • Our customers’ needs are often very diverse, and you understand how to handle this challenge in practice and turn these needs into clear, conceptualised, and value-generating products
  • You have an analytical approach towards your tasks and the ability to distinguish between spontaneous ideas and ideas built on basic needs, which hold strategic value
  • You are driven by the desire to see our customers succeed and achieve commercial success by means of our products
  • You have a natural curiosity about the latest trends and the end-users’ media consumption patterns, and a desire to accommodate these with relevant products
  • You have a background from the media industry or from a software provider within the media industry – not a requirement but an advantage
  • You can juggle more things at a time and make sure internal and external stakeholders are provided the right information at the right time
  • You have the guts to make the necessary decisions regarding our product strategy and supporting processes, which will secure greater knowledge about the product, market, competitors, customers, and end-users

The nature of your educational background is not pivotal. What matters, is your drive and ability to utilise your competencies in the best way possible to support the needs of the media industry.

You do not need to have a professional level of technical knowledge but having so, will give you an advantage when dialoguing with both developers and editors on the customer side.
