Experienced Senior Tooling Developer for a unique challenge
Would you like to work with something outside the mainstream? Do you like building systems and source code versioning? Do you like tough challenges where the answer isn’t given in advance? If so, Visiolink have just the perfect opportunity for you.
Visiolink develops and maintains more than 700 newspaper and magazine apps on Android, iOS and desktop on behalf of around 200 European media companies. This is partly possible because we continuously improve and innovate around our internal tooling. As a Senior Tooling Developer you will be working with everything from build servers to automated screenshots and app submits.
The current technology stack consists of GIT, Jenkins, PHP, Ruby, Fastlane and MySQL.
We primarily do native app development, so knowledge of Objective-C, Swift, Java and Kotlin will be beneficial, but is in no way a prerequisite to apply for the position. It is much more important that you like diving into issues and learn as you go.
In addition to the primary work around tooling and automatisation you will also get the opportunity to work with app development and high-performance hosting.
Your nearest colleagues will be the eight-person large team responsible for development of products and platform within Visiolink. Naturally, you will also have a lot of interaction with the development teams that do customer specific solutions and use the tooling every day.
We value relevant education – e.g. a Master in Computer Science or Software Engineering, but mostly we would like to see work experience related to the position.
As a person you should value freedom in how you approach the work, but also respect the responsibility that follows.
